I love good tools, and we have LOTS of tools in our workshop at Gampo Abbey. I am thrilled to have been able to introduce a handful of young monastics to the contemplative practice of slow seeing and pencil yoga.

 

This small but consistent engagement has been a productive gateway to  working with the mind.  One of the most compelling aspects of the Workshop Alphabet Project has been identifying new tools to draw. It gets tough towards the end of the alphabet! I’ve also made some funny spelling mistakes on package labels – can you see them?
